Sevierville, TN(July 13, 2010) -- One day, two races and two wins was just all in a days work for Blake Jones as he made his way to Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA to race in both the track's Late Model and Charger divisions.

First on the docket for Jones was competing in the Charger division, a Limited Late Model division competing with a crate engine, in his #80 Mountain Dew Chevy which he was able to place on the pole with a blistering fast qualifying time. With the prime starting position, Jones was able to keep the lead for the entire race with only one caution flag slowing him down in the process.

With the win Jones felt a wave of momentum and confidence hit him, a wave that was much needed heading into the 50 lap Late Model feature. While Jones had been able to place his Mountain Dew ride fifth on the board after qualifying there was a need for the team to work on the car between qualifying and the race causing Jones to be placed at the rear of the field for the start of the race.

Although the daunting task of making his way from the rear of the field in order to be able to even contend for the win would stifle most drivers, Jones saw it as a challenge he was ready and willing to tackle head on. As the race got underway so did Jones, making his way from the rear towards the front and wasting no time.

By lap 16 Jones had made his way into the top five and not only began to make his challenge for the lead, he won the challenge and took over the lead for the first time and would make sure that it would be the last time that the lead would change hands in that race. But it would not be easy for the young driver however.

In the last ten laps there would be four caution flags displayed that would be followed by a restart when Jones would have to once again fend off challenges from the rest of the field in order to protect his lead and take home his second checkered flag. But each time that his pace would get slowed by that yellow flag Jones would get back up on his horse and ride on resulting in the checker flag once again falling on Jones for the second time in one night.

"It was a great night for me and my team," said Jones. "Winning one race is great but being able to double up and win two especially having to come from the rear to win the Late Model race makes this feeling even better."

Blake Jones and his #80 Mountain Dew Chevrolet's will be back in action this coming Saturday at Lonesome Pine Raceway as he continues to chase the Late Model and Charger championships as well as the ASA National Championship in just his rookie season.
